With trunk open, feel along left side for a pull cable that will release the driver side door. You can then enter the cabin & release the hood latch.
By the way.....read your Owner's Manual. Even if you didn't get one with the car, they are available on-line....just do a Google search.
This is my friends Vette who had to head north early because of this Covid-19 issue. I have shipped it several times over these past few years. Disconnected the charger several days ago went to check it today and here we are. Thanks for the help you are kind to share this info.
No need to go through that trouble when hatch access is all that’s needed to door then to hood release.
What if you don't have your access key with you? Like I did in Florida when visiting family. I posted this for other people who don't know anything about the car there driving, you probably didn't even think of that did you? Your a two fob's and the keys kind of guy when you leave the house aren't you?

Any smart individual on a trip of any type is going to take both FOBs and if you don’t you’re going to be that guy. Don’t be that guy.
Well if you leave the second fob in the car then it doesn't know what to do when you get out . I guess I should bring 4 new tires with and maybe a spare tranny and motor since you don't know what might happen.

In some instances such as yours it's probably best to forget the simple things in life and take only one FOB. In case you do the unthinkable, no worries. All needed is to somehow make your way to auto parts store, buy low pro jack, jack stands and booster pack. Problem easily solved. Makes no sense to take that extra FOB....who needs it.
Go on E-bay and buy a blank key for the trunk. Get it cut and while there, buy a Magnetic Hid-a-key. Store it on the frame by the rear tire. You will never be locked out again.
