Default Base C6 17” Rear Drag Setup

I have a few questions regarding drag setup. Im thinking about getting forgestar f14 17x10.5 for the rears running a 275/40/17 MT and was wondering could i run a wider tire on those wheels like a 305 and not have any issues with rubbing? Along with that could i also keep the 18x8.5 on the fronts that are on 245s and not have issues?

I have Forgestar F14 wheels on my 2011 GS

The rear wheels are 17x11 with a +43mm offset

Rear tires are 305/45 -17 ET Street S/S drag radials

No issues, but my front tires are a taller 285/40 -17

Note: This combo might not fit the base model with it's narrower fenders

In your case, I think you would be better off using the 275/40 -17 MT

yeah i know ill be good on the rears with the 17x10.5 wheels and the 275 tires. Im currently running 305s on my 19” wheel so thats why i was trying to see if i could still pull off 305. Im now more concerned about just being able to run the stock 18x8.5 in the fronts without any issues.

A lot of people get 17x9.5 front wheels from a C5 Z06 and run 275-40-17 dragradials on them. I have a set I’m getting mounted.

There are 4 OEM wheels in a 17 x 9.5 size ranging in weight from 19 to 22 pounds. Using a 275/40x17 Hoosier will keep your overall weight in the 40 - 43 pound range. That combo will easily handle up to 550 hp. Don't go wider until you're in the 600 hp area.
