I have a C6 (2005 with only 30,000 kms) and just since I've taken my car out of storage (from winter) , the belt is squeaking. Now the belt is in perfect condition so that's why I thought it is a pulley issue. Any ideas how to fix?
Also brakes have tons of pad (factory) but squeak as well when soft braking so annoying driving a nice car but sounds like crap.
Please help

Reason: Wording
Check your harmonic balancer with the engine idling to see whether it’s wobbling. If it is, replace it, preferably with a better aftermarket one. The balancers on these cars are famous for failing and the first sign of them starting to come apart is a squeak. There’s tons of info on here about that, so just do a search.
If it’s not the balancer, and the belt isn’t misaligned, my next guess would be the tensioner or the bearings in the idler. It could also be the A/C belt, which has its own tensioner, but I haven’t seen much complaints about those failing.
As for brake pads, maybe you’ll just have to drive it for a bit and if they don’t improve, do some research and get yourself some good, low dust, low noise pads.
I personally got rid of the stock pads on my car during the first year, before I put 1,000 miles on it, because the stock ones were so bad at creating dust.

You don't say what year or what mileage, nor how long in storage, but here's some thoughts. If the belt was quiet before going into storage & otherwise looks perfect as you say, try a bit of belt dressing & put some miles on it. If squeaking persists, check for crank hub wobble. There are plenty of references here on the Forum. If the hub is bad, it needs to be replaced by a reputable Corvette specialists shop. My recommendation would be for an aftermarket hub like ATI or Powerbond.....definitely not another GM hub.
For the brake squeal, first try several hard stops from 30 or 40 mph to bed the pads. You can also apply a very light coating of hi-temp grease to the backside of the pads.....be careful not to get grease on the face of the pads or on the rotor surfaces. Some may recommend non-OEM pads, but I'm on the 2nd set of Delco OEM pads in my '05 & have never had a noise problem.
