Default Sticky tire

I want to get sticky summer tire for the street. My current set up is not cutting it. Suggestions appreciated.

Ditto that ...

Of course, if you use them on the street, and don't drive aggressively or do a bunch of burnouts, they still will only last about 2,000 miles

I have more miles than that on my set, I don’t do a lot of burnouts but when I do wanna hook up they always seem to take care of me. Of course avoid all rain, lol.

So, you have more than 2,000 miles on your ET Street R ? (not the ET Street S/S)

Yes. Et street R, I have two summers on the tires with roughly 2000 each summer. I run around 20 psi and never had to heat them up much when doing hole shots and spraying with 600 rear wheel horse

okie dokie ......

I have ET Street S/S ... Would have purchased ET Street R, but everyone I talked to told me they don't last but about 2,000 miles of daily-driver street use.

Thanks for the info

Jeeeze, I run 27 PSI in my S/S for normal non-race street driving

And 27 PSI won't illuminate the low tire pressure light

If you aren’t looking for a drag radial but want a summer tire that hooks, I really like my Kumho Ecsta sr91.

Turbo6TA-The M/T R's should last as long as the S/S version as they are the same compound.I get 8,000 miles out of mine.If you drive like an 18 year old you should be able to easily destroy them in under a 1,000 miles

I recommend the Perelli P-Zero, great tire, good mileage from them and WAY better than any Michelin.
