Theft Deterrant System Problesm
I posted this in the General section and had only one response using a different title. Anyone have any suggestions.
After reading several posts about this I decided to try an experiment on my 06 Vert with the top down.
I have automatic locking set on my car so I let it lock, waited about 5 minutes to try the dash trunk button. It would not do anything. Waited 10 to 12 minutes longer, tried again and trunk popped open, alarm did not sound.
I then made sure the car was locked by hitting the lock button on my fob twice, horn sounded so I waited 5 minutes again tried dash button, nothing happened. Again I waited 10-12 minutes (maybe a little longer) tried the dash button again, trunk popped and again no alarm.
I locked again with the key fob button twice, horn honked. I went out and pulled the door release by the floor and the alarm sounded. I locked the car again, waited another 30 minutes, went out and pulled the floor door release. The door opened and NO alarm.
Why would the alarm be deactivating itself?
