2007 ls2 base, silver blade is going rep mode almost daily, rpms climb higher with every morning crank as well. I think its dead.
Stock tune.
I've been on here looking for a solution for a few months. But not having any luck need some help. I searched alot on here, hoping I just overlooked a solution.
I've tried a gold blade and it kind of works for slow runs but sometimes freaks out as well.
Tried Wcy techs 102mm off eBay that claimed it was 05-07 silver blade only, changed etc scaler but it threw a ton of codes.
Tried swapping signal/motor wires on the gold blade no start. Also installed a new pigtail to the TB.
Dealer says it isn't available and I've had no luck on the internets.
I would rebuild it if I could find the internals but not much luck there so far. I'm game for putting in a motor since I have 2 spares now but I can't justify the motor is at fault. Everything looks good internally.
Also, game for a cable drive swap but dunno if possible.
Am I going to have to try an ECM swap and use a gold blade? Is that even possible?
I have a really nice Holley 4 barrel over here hmm might look nice with a scoop out the hood.
Thanks. Please check back with us in a couple of weeks. We'll have them in stock already ported from the original 90mm to 95mm at WOT plus all the other features that make them respond faster at partial throttle. These are one of the most expensive stock TB's and we'll offer them brand new at about the same price, including performance modifications. Add our C6 controller and you'll be riding a different car.
i thought mine was bad but ended up being the pigtail
advanced auto has them but pricey close to $400
What symptoms were you having?
I did the pigtail already but this car has been an electrical nightmare so I wouldn't be surprised if its further down the line
Awesome news mike. Did you say new will be available? That's excellent to hear. As soon as they are ready I'm in for one and a controller.
Thanks! Yes, they'll be new, and they'll have hall effect sensors (contactless). The original sensors on these are of the potentiometer type, which has spring-loaded contacts that wear, at some point electrical contact becomes weak (high contact resistance) or intermittent, then the ECM loses track of the throttle position and enters limp mode. This is the main failure mode of these parts.

Yessss!
Fantastic your controller just showed up 10 mins ago as well.
I placed the order for a new one, the options for a core trade said sold out. Are you still interested in my old one?

Thank you very much. I'm not sure we can repair yours if we get it. The replacement sensors we have are of a different type and it would be very time consuming to retrofit. Not sure it will make sense for us.
Yeah this thing is amazing! Truly a different car. I had no idea it could accept that much throttle that quickly. First time in sp5 I bounced my head off the seat lol. This is the corvette I thought I bought a year ago. I bought HP tuner and have been learning to tune just because I wanted the car feel the way this part just did.
Smooth through all the transitions, pulls excellent in the low rpm climb where it used to stumble. Gives it such a fun sprinty feel, so much joy in just hoping around and accelerating lol
Excellent cold start which used to climb to 2k.
Woke up to rain and put it in eco mode with a smile. Drive by wire has some perks
So glad you came along when you did on these Silver Blades! Thanks Mike
Goat Rope even had a very favorable review, he was really impressed.
Appreciate you taking the time for a testimony. This is extremely helpful for all the "does anybody have any information to share on using "XXXXXXXX" product and does it work and last?
