Hi Everyone...
I went to start up the 35,000 mile, 2005 Corvette today and it was completely dead. I jumped the vehicle where it started and ran for about 5 seconds then died. I did that process a few times with the same result. Once the car dies, there's zero power at all for electronics.
Could it possibly be an alternator issue? Or could it be a battery issue? Perhaps something else?
I'm not a mechanic, but I think I'd rule out the starter, because it does start.
If anyone has a clue or if this happened to you, please share so I can get this puppy back on the road. Thanks in advance!

Reason: Broadened title
Just a FYI, but alternator cable goes to the starter solenoid terminal, and battery cable connects to the alternator cable at starter solenoid terminal as well. On the alternator cable just before the starter terminal, there is a slow blow fuse in line on the cable. As for battery ground cable, it connects to the engine block just above the starter.
Regarding the alternator, it uses two fuse in the fuse block to monitor the voltage into the alternator itself.
The reason that I bring all this, is the alternator may be fine, but has a wiring problem at the starter solenoid with say a loose nut on the connection terminal of the two cables where they connect together, the slow blow fuse may be blown in the alternator cable, or could just be a fuse out and why the alternator is not charging the battery to start with.
Thank you... looks like I have my work cut out for me! I'll get started tomorrow.
We'll see where it goes!
I'm hoping for the cheapest way out of this!
