I had an issue with opening my driver side door today from the inside. I am only able to open the door using the emergency door opener. From the outside, i am able to open the door and can hear the door disengage. On the inside, the window rolls down slightly but i do not hear the door disengage nor does it open. Everything works fine on the passenger side. Can anyone help me with this issue?
Got a problem with the inside button switch, or the connector/wires to it. Both the outer and inner buttons connect to the same set of wires in the door panel, so problem is at/near the inside door button itself.
Or, just pull the switch apart to clean the contacts on the board, and the gold contacts on the rubber part you press. Attachment 48339194 Attachment 48342589
On my buttons, got tired of looking at the flaking paint (and replacing them every few years at the paint would flake again, so just painted the entire button face with rubberized black paint while I had them apart cleaning them, then used a small drill to remove the center paint to allow the night light to shine through the clear center sections. I replaced the switch. I even swapped It from the passenger to the driver side. Even with the passenger side's switch, i still cant unlock the door. .Help,,,,thanks
