I did a search and only found one generic thread on SCs that included the eForce.
I have a friend that has a C6 with the Edelbrock eForce SC and no other mods than what Edelbrock recommends for that installation. I am quite sure the owner does not abuse the car. It is now in the shop for the 2nd time in 2 years - for a parts warranty replacement of the supercharger. again.
Has there been any other repeated problems with this type installation? Edelbrock is picking up the parts cost but my friend is footing the labor bill again.

Can you describe the specific issues your friend is experiencing with his supercharger?

I don't have details and my friend is not technically savvy regarding engines. SCs, just that they were sufficiently severe enough that Edelbrock supported their warranty.
In my case, I have a Magnuson Heartbeat SC .... It has a warranty, but if you don't install there canned tune, it's worthless. Well, most people have there car dyno tuned after installing the SC = Warranty Dead in the Water !
In fact, I also think if the SC is installed on a modified engine, you are also out of luck with the SC warranty ..... Oh, and I also think the install has to be done by a so-called 'authorized installer'. Install it yourself, and the warranty is worthless.
So ... For the most part, your on your own if anything goes wrong with these aftermarket superchargers.
BTW .... The 'rotor group' inside the Heartbeat and the E-Force superchargers are made by Eaton ... Eaton also provides the rotor group assembly for the GM LS9 supercharger.
This is in most cases a very dependable supercharger ... and the 'rotor group' is the very heart of these positive displacement (roots style) superchargers.
As Turbo6 mentioned, you cannot have a modded engine or touch the supplied tune. Also can't swap to a smaller pulley to up the boost. As supplied by Edelbrock, it won't make enough power to hurt itself. The tune is extremely rich and short on timing.....basically extremely safe to the detriment of decent power.
The Eaton TVS2300 itself is just about bullet proof. I had one go over 250K miles before having a problem. Only maintenance it got was one oil change. I'd be curious to know details of what failed. LS engines don't break unless abused and TVS blowers don't break even when abused.
I have no reason to believe my friend's C6 engine is modded other than the SC and the canned tune and apparently neither does Edelbrock as they are honoring the parts warranty.

Yep, and they actual add in more TM Hobbling on the can tune to prevent you from blowing up the power train a well.
So really need more information on which kit, and if he is on the E can tune or not.
If I had to take a stab at it, not on one of the full kits with tune, but on the builder's kit isntead.
Throw in smaller pulley and no meth kit too prevent heat soak/denotation, less than desirable tune as well, and your going to have all kinds of problems.

No way those mods were done on this car.
Based on what has been said on this thread it appears that multiple failures on this car is just an unfortunate fluke.
