Default Looking for advice on prospeed fan setup

I have a 2006 c6 with a 6.0 iron block, ecs novi 2200sl supercharger and a full size dewitts rad, the car is still running just As hot as before i installed the new rad, temps seem to just keep creeping up in the city easilly reaching 225-230 degrees without ac on, i was looking at the prospeed fans and the guys at pro speed couldnt give me a definitive answer on if the full size fan shroud will fit so they simply reccomended i run the cut down shrowd on my full size rad. Im bot super crazy about that idea unless its the only way to make it fit. Does anyone have experience mounting prospeed full size fan shroud on a full size dewitts rad with a ecs supercharger kit? Id hate to spend 899 us on fans that wont fit. Thanks in advance for any imput!

Make life simple (and way less expensive), since Dewitt has dual fan units with shroud that will bolt right up to their radiators for around $400.
The controller and needed wiring and 60 amp fuse with holder, will run you about $100.
Note, make sure to give Dewitt your radiator model number, so they send you the correct unit.

From here, and since the fans can now be run a lot harder without burning any of the wiring up, need to get into the turn to bring the fans on a lower temps, and lot harder as well.
Stock tune radiator values,
Attachment 48335485

One last thing, and the OEM Valeo alternator is never going to keep up with the fans amperage draw at idle (only puts out around 14 amps at idle, and does not ramp up to 140amps until over 2K rpms), so will want to upgrade your alternator to the 6 phase, 12 pole billet unit that puts out around 45+amps at idle isntead.

Few last things, and make sure that your inter-cooler has be mounted far enough in front of the radiator that the fan can pull clean are from around it as needed. Hence a lot of over heat problems are due to the inter cooler mounted too close to the radiator-A/c heat exchanger, to block the clean air flow through the radiator via the fan. Also, no mention of a meth kit, but really need to be running one. Main purpose the meth kit it so add octane level to pump fuel to prevent detonation/allow for push of timing on boost, but since the other 50 of the meth mix is water, this water keeps the motor from heat soaking on hits. So meth kit keeps the motor cooler during hits, and it the radiator and fans job of keeping the motor cool between hits isntead.

correct me if i am wrong but i have been told that the dewitts dual fans cool worse then the stock fan and that the only real upgrade is to either go single 17” from dewitts or to go duals from pro speed

Dano, quick question. I'm finishing up my tune and was in this field last night. It controls fan% by temp.

Is there a way to incorporate speed into this equation?

I.e. if the car is going over 30 mph the fan goes off.

What does the "[ECM] 18040 - Fan State Transition Desired % vs. Current State" field do?

Are those temps at idle only? What are your temps when cruising constantly at >60MPH?

i havent done much highway cruising but on some back roads cruising at about 45mph the temps do slowly start to come back down so i would assume at 60 mph they would come down even faster, i am also going to be improving the shrouding to help force more air through the rad instead of around the rad but my main issue seems to be when driving aggresive around town where having better fans should make an improvement i would assume, some people say the pro speed full size fans only fit if you trim down the tabs and some people say they dont clear the supercharger outlet at all so i would much rather run full size shroud but im worried ill have clearance issues

It seems then that you have enough radiator, so it's likely fan/shroud. If it never cooled down while cruising, I'd think you didn't have enough radiator, but that's not the case...
Mine cools down very quickly when cruising at 70mph. And climbs quickly when idling, until the massive fans come on...but stays below 215*F
