I would plan on re-torqing them in a week or so if you're going to drive it some between now and then just to be sure they are still tight enough to not make noises.

Brand new axle, yes.
But if replacing the nuts on a existing axles, then torque the bolts to 120ftlb isntead. Hence axle has already taken a stretch from the first time, and if torque to 151ftlbs again, your chancing the axles snapping between the shoulder and the threads as the axle goes to stretch more/ again..
Buddy I promise you if you retorque them they are not going to fall off, GM says the same thing about the brake caliper bolts and at $8.00 apiece I would too. Changed my rotors to Z51 size and brackets reused the bolts and probably driven faster then most since then and not a problem, I had my Bette during the time we were all learning about the C6 getting the info that some of us are trying to pass on to those of you that didn't know what a C6 was until after you bought one six months ago, I've had mine since Presidents' Day 2007
