Okay, so here we go again LOL. I thought I had all this fixed, but today it decided to prove me wrong.
Everything was fine and then all the sudden I got the "service traction control / active handling" warning. It would only drive in 3rd gear, then the key light came on (that's a new one to me). I shut it off and started it up a few times to try to clear it as that sometimes works. After a few tries, it started shifting correctly again and the traction control light went out, but then I got a check engine light and all the other lights went out. Checking the codes it came up with U2100 and P0700. It seems to be running, shifting and driving fine now but the check engine light is still on. Thoughts please?

I think this car might actually be pretty awesome if I ever get steady flow of bugs worked out. I literally get one thing fixed then the next thing happens. It's startling how bad this particular car is. Maybe someday I'll feel confident enough to drive it to the next town...probably not...

Hard to diagnosis without knowing what codes are evident. If you don't have access to an OBD reader, stop by just about any big box auto parts store. They all will read the codes for no cost. Once you have the codes, come back to the Forum for suggestions.

UPDATE: It seems like an intermittent issue, like a loose connection, so I removed the kick panel under the steering column to check on the wire harness connection that I hear so much about being trouble, but everything looked fine. There was no pulling as I retracted and extended the steering wheel. No stress that I can see anywhere. There is plenty of slack in all positions...I checked the connections at the fuse panel and everything looks good. I started it back up and the check engine light was out. Just took it for a drive and everything seems normal. Crazy...

Also pull the drivers side kick panel/floor up. It sits over the ecm's. Mine had some loose connectors and every time my wife rode in it i would get "service active handling", I was going nuts because it would only happen when I had a passenger. I tie-wrapped some connectors under there and fixed it...
