Just installed a NW and MSD and my halltech isn’t fitting as the MSD is higher than the stock intake. So much higher that I can’t install my beehive and the intake hits the hood. I even bought a new coupler and trimmed it shorter. What am I missing here? Any suggestions?
I just had similar issue when installing Fast 102 with the Airaid air intake after my recent cam swap. Air bridge was hitting hood at first. I ended up taking air filter bridge pieces apart and then connecting TB couplers one piece at a time continuing with air bridge and persuading them to fit and finally the air filter last and it just barely clears hood now.
You could maybe try the flex couplers the factory uses.
GL!
That Halltech intake was an original that was never meant to fit the newer MSD intake manny. Designed in 2006. You would need to upgrade to the MF108. Fit our C6Z06 with the MSD intake manny perfectly. This engine dynoed at 630 RWHP on e85. Dry weight of the Halltech "Carbon for Real" was 2790 lbs. Body was carbon fiber sans the doors.

Jim what year 103 Intake would fit the MSD manifold was there a redesign at some point? Something bought after MSD came out like in the 2014 timeframe?

The MF103 has not been redesigned. We have dozens of these builds. Check with Katech, they have been using our products for 21 years now.

The fit is perfect, and always has been. When I here this complaint, it is usually a result of installation issues, like reversing the ends of the bridge. Make sure that the MAF sensor is UNDER the Beehive, not near the throttle body. It will not fit at all that way, stock or aftermarket intake manifolds. Plus the MAF would be clocked wrong and not read airflow at all.
