Default Header fit & connection problems

If anyone else has had issue's please post & if someone else is thinking of doing this it may help. The car is base model 2006 C6 with an LS3 stroker installed with LG Pro 3x3 catted mid section & GHL mufflers. The existing header/muffler system fit perfectly & was installed with "no" cutting or welding.

Power flat lined & is low, going thru steps to find the missing power I decided to try a larger diameter shorter tube header. Choosing a 3x3 mid catted section it should bolt up & in just as the LG system.

The first concern was when I laid out the two systems side x side, the new replacement is ARH 2.0" long system. I could immediately see the connection pipe issue, I did communicate with the manufacturer & selling dealer. After several phone calls & sending photo's I realized I would be on my own to sort the connection problem out.

The next problems are chassis & frame contact. The passenger side frame needs a massage, rather than grinding I choose to bend. There is another contact point against the frame, same side where I slightly dimpled the tube. I will get a photo of the dimple & post, it is minor just to insure no contact. The drivers side has contact point on the sub frame the needs some grinding to relieve the contact.

I recommend that you return the ARH's and get a set of Kooks.

I have had both and by far the Kooks fit much better and I did not have to clearance anything with them.

Not sure I'm reading this right, but the headers and mids need to come from the same manufacturer. Trying to mix and match isn't going to work. Kooks hearers and mids will bolt up to any stock or aftermarket axle backs. Same with ARH's. If I'm misunderstanding your post, please disregard.

I'm way beyond that stage, the car is apart. I thought it would have been a simple error with the connection pipe, apparently not. The fit issue's with the frame didn't show up until the initial install. Hard to return after scuffing & waiting weeks for a another suppleri.

Not a chance I'm trying to mix & match. The LG system is as delivered complete & bolted in nicely & to the GHL axle backs. The ARH system laying right beside them is as I pulled it out of the box.

Tx's anyways
