Default Larger Throttle Body?

My 05 Z51 has the standard 90mm TB. Any real benefit to moving to a larger size? Only mod is a Corsa exhaust.

Short answer is no.Just have yours ported or do it yourself. No big gains but a little better throttle response.

Next best Performance add after your Corsa exhaust would be Cold air intake and then headers. Maybe port the throttle body but no big benefit.

Added a Soler throttle controller to my SC’d LS2 about 4 months ago and it made a for a stunning increase in throttle response quickness. Well worth the $100 or so and 15 min install. Wish I knew about it sooner.

Taking the OP question further,
would a larger T body do any good if he had PD supercharger set for low, 7-8 psi boost?

Thanks

It's more of an air flow/hp thing vs a boost thing. If your engine is an LS3 with blower cam, long tubes, and meth seeing 8psi, you'd probably benefit. If you have a bone stock PD blown LS2 seeing 8psi, you probably wouldn't see much benefit.

You can check for vacuum between the throttle body and the blower. There shouldn't be any at WOT. If there's much over 2" there you'd probably benefit from a bigger throttle body.... or a new air filter. You can rule out the air filter being the culprit by checking for vacuum between the throttle body and the air filter at WOT.
