Default Bilstein B8 on C6

Hello,
Bilstein B8 Plus states that they are for lowered cars, has anyone used them on the stock height C6?
Is there any difference in performance between B6 and B8 shocks to justify the price difference?
Thanks for any and all input.

The B6 and B8 Bilsteins will both fit any C6. The biggest difference is the B8's are about 20% stiffer. If I'm not mistaken the only actual difference between the two shocks is valving.

I'm not sure where you're seeing a price difference as the vendor I purchased my shocks from (DRM) list both B6 and B8 at $400 a set.

DRM also lists a polyurethane shock bushing set for $25 that stiffens the ride with either shock up a little more.

DRM does offer a third Bilstein shock for the C6 that is valved specifically to their standards that does cost a little more at $480.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your time and input.

I was looking at the DRMs but they're currently of of stock. I wait a bit longer for the DRMs and then pull the trigger on the B8s.

Thanks again

I put B8's on my 2005 Z51 that is at stock height. I would recommend the B8's they improved the R&H of my car greatly. This was a DIY install, and I did not notice any difference in ride height, shock size, or fit.

I'm currently running the Bilstein DRM shocks and I wouldn't spend the extra for them unless I was going to track the car. With the DRM's and polyurethane bushings I can run over a dime in the road and tell you if it's heads or tails.
