Default Front fender vent access

Pulled the back half of the front wheel liners to install some front vent grills....but how does that OEM plastic grill come out/off so you can reach the actual vent opening. Can't feel anything so guessing it's glued. Not really wanting to break anything just for a bit of bling. 2007 base version. Thanks.

Those fender grill inserts are simply held on using double sided tape. I removed them to install the SS grills, then re-attached the inner plastic with new double sided tape by 3M after cleaning the surfaces if left over tape and dirt.

Kind of what I was thinking. Hoping not to have to pull it all off, seems to be one tab on the top that might be enough to get my hand in there. Thanks.

Hmmmm....I'll have to check that. Going to wait till it gets cold. Driving time is precious this time of year in Montana. Although it is supposed to be 90 on Monday.

I am not sure if the base models are the same, but my GS had two 7(?) mm screws that had to be removed as well. They are easily seen with the door open.
There is a lot of info and pics in this thread.
