Thinking of buying a Corvette to go along with my 13 GT Mustang. The stats are 05 M6 with e force, cold air and performance exhaust. HP 475/ TQ 432. What would an estimated average 1/4 mile time look like?

You can use this calculator to estimate 1/4 mile times and speeds.

Well lucky for you you’re not the one buying it then!
Actually, I am looking to buy one as a track car. So, there's that. Move along.
OP: my comment is in regards to the numerous issues that surfaced with the 2005 model, including some that had electrical issues, issues with some of the steering racks, and the weaker diff and rear end in general. I know you were asking mainly about performance, but since these are some issues that can come up with performance driving, they are something to consider when choosing a model.

I haven't heard of 05's having steering rack issues, please elaborate
Using that calculator based on some of my consistent times in 1200-1400 DA, I needed 710 whp for the 60' time, 550 whp for the 1/8 mi time, 470whp for the 1/4 mi time, and 410whp for the 1/4 mi MPH. I'm kinda finding it hard to understand why my car looses 300whp in 1260'. Also why is there a 60whp difference between the time and speed at the end of the 1/4 mi.?
If you assume I'm really about 440whp (split the 470 and 410), then my 1/4 mi time and mph should be 11.16 @ 128.32 by the calculator vs the 10.94 @ 125.35 on the timeslip.
All that tells me the calculator is pretty much worthless for anything beyond advertised flywheel HP on a bone stock car with a good driver on a zero DA day.

You read to much internet and no experience. I've had my 05 since 04. The only issue is a destroyed diff from twice the factory power. Stuff happens to all Corvettes, the 05 is no exception.

I'm so glad we have a single owner stating his anecdotal evidence on the ownership experience of a 2005. It's so good to know that his ownership is reflective of all 2005 cars and rules out all the other owners who have had their 2005 diffs explode.
I'm being facetious of course.
PS: he said it's supercharged, meaning it could be twice the factory power. And I already stated I didn't own one, so obviously I don't have direct experience and have read multiple threads on multiple owner's experiences, which supersedes your own anecdote. Read the thread and contribute something of actual value, or get out of the tech section and move on elsewhere to boost your post count.

Gotta love you experts. When you get a Corvette with actual experience or you simply check with every 05 owner to have a sampling of real information you may be able to have pertinent information. Until then stop guessing.
