Default Do I really need a Wicker Bill wing?

Hello.
I have a 12 GS convert with auto, and have added full headers, A & A blower cam, and blower making 600 whp. My question is that the rear gets squirrelly even WITH traction control on, but enough to be fun instead of in the ditch... but, any suggestions about the rear spoiler or wing. Does the C6 need more downforce to hold that rear in place? Thanks to any thoughtful responses. Rand

I have a wicker on mine for track day stuff (high speed cornering). But on the street you wont really benefit from a wicker or most aero in general. Most of your grip on the street comes down to mainly tires and suspension (mechanical grip) and driver

I have an 11 GS and installed an extended wickerbill and noticed that the *** end does a much better job of staying planted when I get on it.

There is no spoiler ever made that is going to help with traction while launching the car.

Get some drag radials on the back if the car goes crazy when going full throttle from a dead stop of from a fairly slow roll.

A rear spoiler will help plant the rear of the car if you are driving at speeds greater than around 100 mph ... In town, a spoiler won't do a damned thing for you.

Thank you for the info. I live just NORTH of you in Minnesota, so I get to drive mine even less that you do... haha. So, Mcrider, where did you get yours?

Thanks, Turbo. I don't drag race, nor track the car, but like to have that extra-something when I get on it going down the road (interstate or highway), so slicks aren't my thing. My fun starts at a lower speed, like 50, or 40, then a good hard pull to 160 or so.. I paddle shift it down to 2nd and almost stand on it, then shift, shift, shift, as the RPMs run up to 6000 or so, and she really pulls hard while the rear is giving me the scary left-right business, but she doesn't loose it... so far. I thought a spoiler like the ZR1 type would settle it. 345 Michelin's in the rear.

Nice... but my issue is KNOWING what I really need. I want to make sure about function for real.. my GS isn't 435 hp, but 710... so, much like a 2012 ZR1... does the standard ZR1 or a Wicker Bill going to work for me at highway and higher speeds. No drags or tracking for me, just a good blast once in a while. Beautiful car you have!
