from what im understanding:

you are working on a car with an LSX block and LS3 heads which currently has no compression and no spark. Something about the cam was mismatched earlier as well.

people more knowledgeable than I will prob be able to help you but:

1. There were two different reluctor wheels for the camshaft sensors - make sure they match
2. The LS3 heads are for 6.2, LSX 6.0 may result in a shrouded head (head is for a bigger bore?)
3. There are two types of cams for LS engines - single bolt and three bolt... make sure they match, or get an adapter?

Yes, LS3 heads work fine with a 6.0 engine.

I've got that combo in my 2005 vette. Haven't dynoed it yet, but my tuner and my mechanic both guess its close to 550 crank HP.

While LS3 heads may flow a little better on a LS3 block due to shrouding, they work fine with a LS2 engine.

Here are some interesting articles on this combo:

The only thing about stock LS3 heads on a LS2 is the combustion chamber is larger dropping the compression close to 10:1 (I forget the exact number).

On my build I had the heads shaved .015 and used a .040 cometic gasket to keep the CR at 11:1.

You also need to use a LS3 intake with LS3 heads. While a LS2 intake might bolt up to LS3 heads, it would be a horrible mismatch and cause significant flow issues.

The stock LS2 throttle body works fine with the LS3 intake.
