Default Best Performance Engine Upgrades?

Hi all! So I am at >183K miles and am hearing a dreaded knocking sound. Thinking it's time to replace rod bearings and maybe more as belts are good and I'm not getting any errors or codes on any sensors. If so, what upgrades would you guys recommend to upgrade my stock LS3 pistons, rods, and any other parts I will have access to while doing this repair since I'll be diving deep on this one anyway?

I have the Z51 model and am looking to supercharge her in the future as well.

If you're going to supercharge it, I would go for full forged internals to keep up with any future power goals. Consider talking to a performance shop or a reputable tuner around you, they can also be helpful when it comes to building the engine you need for your goals.

Yep, forged stock cubed engine if you're going supercharger. If not, do a 416 stroker. It won't cost any more than the forged stock cubed motor. Porting the heads is also nice icing on the cake whether you're f/i or n/a. You'll need a valve job and clean up mill on the heads at a minimum. Not much more to have them CNC ported by Tx Speed. https://www.texas-speed.com/p-1388-p...d-porting.aspx For that price, in addition to the CNC porting, they'll mill as little or as much as you want, do a competition valve job, clean, and install your valve spring of choice. I'm running their heads on my n/a C6. Couldn't be happier.
