Default O2 question

Been struggling to get my c6 afr at least decent for the past 6-8 months now, put headers on and haven’t been able to get the tune dialed in good, still idles at 16-19afr and is very unstable, now I’m thinking my o2s may be bad, they were brand new with the headers and now I just pulled them out and they are worse looking than my old ones. I got a set of 2013 camaro Ls3 o2s from my buddy and they are a little different, the connector on the camaro o2 is the female connector instead of the male like in the corvette o2, if I cut the wires a solder them to the right connector on the camaro ones, will they work right still on a corvette? Mine is a 2012 c6 base ls3

Also when I put in the brand new sensors, I never reset the ecu like it says online and I never “calibrated” them if that’s even a thing, I’m honestly not sure, just wondering how to fix my afr

You have a vacuum leak

Probably exhaust leak or vacuum leak

There is no calibration needed on new O2 sensors. Plug them in and they work. There's also no reason to cut wires on some sensor from another car to force it to work and I'd be shocked if it helps with this issue.

Do you have actual logs you can post that shows what it's doing? What are you using to see that it's running at 16-19:1 at idle? Assuming a Wideband, what model and how is it installed?

Need to see what the short term & long term fuel trim values are, PCM should be adjusting LTFT's to try to get the STFT's to around 0... & is the high AFR on both banks? I think that's where you'd want to start. A vacuum leak will show LTFT's go down as RPM increases... sounds like the problem's elsewhere though, but check LT's first to rule out some things first... then check injectors/fuel pressure. Others I'm sure will add their experiences in, please update us on your progress!
