Suspension travel, attitude
Using 2005 rolling chassis and putting 51 Chevy truck on top.
Will extend torque tube and Drive shaft almost 1 foot. Making my own custom frame to connect cradles and mount body to. Coil over conversion I’ve cut out leaf springs.
Finished vehicle should be 6-800 pounds lighter than stock Corvette.
Trying to find out the stock range of travel from load to unload on front and rear wheels.
Also would be helpful to know what the stock attitude or angle of the suspension is loaded and unloaded in relation to cradles.
Info should help me select the coil overs length and spring rate etc.
HOXXOH, you’re right on for some of the issues.
I defiantly thought about cutting the bed until I saw one cut for a different chassis swap- wasn’t a corvette underneath. Looked real stubby. Funny how sensitive the eye is to very subtle changes.
I just sent the torque tube and prop shaft off to Gamel Street rods today. He’s going to lengthen it about 11 inches plus.
May be a really simple question that one of you could answer out there is how far off the floor are the front and rear cradles? That would help me adjust those coil overs at least to get the right ground clearance.
Anyone can help me with that?
