K&N Intake
Hence oil filter's do not filter their best until it gets a little dirty, and if you use too much oil when oiling the filter to begin with, ends up oiling the MAF sensor to cause problems as well.
So no matter what, when you do go to clean the air filter, make sure to pull the MAF sensor to clean it at the same time. If your getting a lot of oil out of the Maf when you clean it with MAF sensor cleaner, then you know you're using way too much oil on the filter during cleanings.
Also to add, the stock filter already outflowed the motors demands, and since the K&N filter is still drawing air from the hot engine compartment as well, it not a Cold air intake system either. So really, your did not gain anything to start with (maybe some more engine noise of the air flowing into the filter, but that is about it). Also, might want to do a data check on the MAF readings, since some of the after market air intake system cause less than ideal flow past the MAF, and in some causes, have to go into the tune to adjust the MAF sensor so it readings, are jiving with the acutual flow of air through it.
