Just did new Hawk HPS pads and new Delco rotors. Got rid of the squealing, extremely dusty OE brakes.
put about 500 miles on so far and hardly any brake dust on my wheels. Great stopping power. And quiet too.
Two thumbs up.
Been 4 weeks with my new pads and cleaned my wheels of brake dust yesterday. Hardly anything. More road dirt than brake dust. Beats the heck out of the OEM pads
I installed some of the power stops on the rear c7 z51 and planned on doing the front the next weekend but it was a couple weekends before I got to it. as I was checking out the rear for what I read on here about them turning your rotors brownish color not from braking hard but from the material they are made of. sure enough compared to the stock front with a high chrome mirror like finish the rear looked kinda brownish. if you didn't know to look for it and didn't have the stock pads on one end you might not notice but the color of the rotor looks way better with the stock pads so I'm considering getting a set of low dust hawk for the front instead of putting the power stops on.
I've had good luck with Akebono pads. The previous owner had some Bosch pads and they were terrible. Noisy and dusty while the Akebono's are quiet with hardly any brake dust.
Just had the whole shebang replaced; KNS rotors, Hawk HPS one-piece pads, Spiegler stainless lines, DRM stainless pistons.
Seems good so far; need to head to the track to test em.
