C6 Window/door issues
New to the forums and to the Corvette. I have done some searching and came across same problem on a post, but never saw a fix posted.
Issue is driver door opens fine from outside, but when closed the window stays down about 1/4inch and you cannot open the door from the switch on the inside of the car and have to get out using the floor release, outside handle still works and opens the door. After driving for a while10-20min or so the window will randomly roll up the rest of the way, and then the interior door release switch works as normal.
I have tried to index the window, but once inside I cannot make the window roll up the last 1/4inch to index properly, the car randomly decides when to roll the window the rest of the way up itself. Passenger door works fine with no issues at this time.
I am going to pull out the button switch and try cleaning it, hopefully that works, but I’m thinking it may be a control module or regulator issue. Any advice is appreciated.
I have recently had the battery disconnected several times while installing a new stereo head unit, maybe something got fried when connecting/disconnecting the battery. One of the times when I reconnected the battery the car alarm did go off immediately.
Thanks again to anyone able to help. Cheers!
Now after messing with it for a couple days I went down and everything seems to be working like normal. Maybe it fixed itself, but I feel there must be a relay, module, or something that is starting to fail.
