Guys - could use a little input. I was at the track this weekend drag racing my '10 C6 A6 GS. Just as I was about to finish my burnout (about 6 seconds), the tires abruptly stopped spinning and engine went back to idle. First reaction was that something broke in the driveline but no rev occurred and car ran fine after. This was with TC off, AH on. Car did not get the least bit sideways. I was on my drag radials which do not have TPMS sensors in them, so I did have the light on on the dash. Any thoughts on what would cause this? I had researched that the TPMS error would not cause any issues, but perhaps there's a connection? This happened on two of my four runs. Maybe the other runs were a shorter burnout and therefore the car didn't have enough time act up with my set of circumstances. Main question is any thoughts on why I might have had an abrupt burnout stop from the computer. TIA!

Any DIC messages or error codes when this happened. Has it ever happened before?
You don't say what gear you were in, the RPM, your rear gear ratio, if you were easing up, or what stall TC you have. No mention of the ambient temp, track prep, in or out of the water box, tire pressure, or tire brand and size. These are most, but not all the factors that could cause what happened.
But one thing for sure, it wasn't the TPS, but I don't have a clue why you'd be looking in the mirror.
A little more information would help. Did you have it in drive or sport? Did you manually shift gears during the burn out? What were you doing with the throttle at the time? Were you giving it more? or backing off of it as you finish your burnout. Did you still have your foot on the brake at the time?
