Shucks, you could use a stock cam and get that power. You would preserve your low end torque. Frankly a nice TSP cam stage 2 or 3 would give you good manners, an aggressive idle and more power everywhere if you add intake and heads (heads and intake not needed on LS3).

Stock long block and make more power than that on a Vortech. You can get a cam, but def don't need to for those levels. Boost a pumps do work, but are cheaper than a fuel system for a reason... however plenty of people have success with them, no question. I will tell you that I just saw a c5 at the track that was claiming he was losing fuel up top and def was rich af at boost (vortech'd as well)... he was running 12s looking for 11's... I have no idea if that's true or not haha...
