I just installed a vararam intake on my 07 and the check engine light came on after a couple days. Had a buddy of mine reset the throttle body so it can get use to the new intake but engine light came back on after a couple days. I pulled the code and the code said throttle closed position performance. Does anyone have an suggestions?
What was the DTC ??...a P2119 ??...you can try cleaning your throttle body and see what happens...I’m assuming your friend did an idle relearn...to diagnose these issues you really need a good scan tool and scope...if not get prepared to fire the parts canon at it !!...don’t know what else to tell you !!

Yes, the code was P2119 and could the oil from the new filter cause the throttle the mess up? I will take the throttle off and clean it.
You don’t have to take the TB off...clean the area where the blade closes and I use an old toothbrush and Brake Kleen...you can use TB cleaner but I’ve never had issues with Brake Kleen...you should also clean the MAF sensor...every time you re oil your filter you should clean the MAF sensor and TB if it looks dirty...the MAF would be more of an area of concern !!
I don’t know what it is exactly for a P1229 but it can be so many warm up cycles or 3 trips where the PCM looks at the circuit and there is no longer a fault or clearing it with a scan tool...scan tool would be the preference...maybe your local auto box store can clear it for you !!
