Default oil oil oil
OK, first oil change on the 05 since I bought it , Mobil 1 , there are all kinds
HIGH MILAGE- EXTENDED PERFORMANCE -ADVANCED - FULL SYNTHETIC , ---WTF
they all are full synthetic , all are DEXOS 2 TYPE ,,,
they vary from $5.49 qt to like $7.50 ,,, what is the difference ?

If you even attempt to try and learn the differences between oils you'll drive yourself mad. Too many people try to overthink and overanalyze this topic. (Be prepared for the responses to come) Save yourself that headache. Just use the regular old 5w30 Mobil 1 Full Synthetic and lock this thread. Walmart usually has the 5 gallon (quarts) jugs for less than $30.

I agree, walmart has the Mobil 1 Extended for $27.47 / 5 qt.

You’re not obligated to use Mobil1 but if you do just use the regular Mobil1 5w30 or even the extended performance 5w30. My personal preference is Pennzoil Ultra platinum 5w30.

Use your favorite synthetic in the proper weight and all will be fine. I use Mobil One that I buy at Walmart in 5 quart jugs. If you're really concerned about oil do an oil analysis from a company like Blackstone Laboratories and that's the only way you'll know if any oil is working for you plus letting you know well in advance what's going on with your motor.

old motorhead,, it is apparent you like bats , have to really wonder how you get the jizzum from the bats, but I will bet the bats enjoy it

I think you meant dexos1 Gen 2.

is obvious kinds like ***-u-ming ,
but I did post wallys had the real meal deal Mobile 1 full synthetic for $27.47 for 5 quart containers

I've use Walmart sytech 5/30 %100 synthetic oil at $17.00 for 5 qts. I don't race my G.S. Corvette and it exceeds all of GM oil specs and i put no more than 3k a year

The best M1 branded oil is the M1 Extended Protection. If you want Castrol instead, that would be te Castrol Edge Extended Performance.

No issues with either, ever. Any good synthetic will be fine.
