Can anyone tell me where I can find a Silicone Intake Coupler for less than $30 that replaces the stock accordion style coupler? I find it hard to justify spending $40 - $50 for a 4" silicone reducer hose that has questionable performance benefits. Has anyone noticed an increase in hp with one installed?

I'm willing to bet you the cost of a coupler that you couldn't even detect a difference on a dyno by doing that coupler, and the discrepancies between runs are going to be greater than the difference of the coupler itself. Consider it just for looks.
I actually ordered online a smooth intake coupler, and later returned it. It was really difficult to make it fit / slip on and seemed to want to slip off even with the clamps tightened. Because of the smooth coupler's rigid tighter fit, it appeared to make it more time consuming every time I'd want to inspect or change the stock air filter. I ended up keeping and cleaning my stock accordion style coupler; used some Mother's VLR on the interior and exterior to preserve the rubber.

Did you ever think it like many other after market items need a little trimming to fit properly ? I had to cut a little off the bottom in the front and it fit perfectly.

I put a smooth coupler in my Miata because the accordion style coupler was hitting the hood. The new, smooth coupler clears the hood much better. The downside is that it's too stiff to change the air filter without pulling the bumper cover off the car. If the accordion style coupler fits under your hood, I'd keep it. I doubt there's any performance benefit.
