As much as I would love a set of the replacement LED taillights that are available on the market, they are all pretty expensive by the time you land them in Canada. I bought a set of Red LED replacement bulbs and some load resisters, huge difference! This should satisfy me for a while 😉
Bought these Red bulbs off Amazon.
i mounted a piece of aluminum as a heat sink for the resisters using a couple of studs that are already in the tail section
finished product with LEDs installed on one side..
I don’t have to tell you which side has the LEDs...
Easily 2 to 3 times brighter and more brilliant than stock. A nice cheap upgrade
It looks like the bulbs for our tail lights do not include integrated resistors. I know some of the bulbs do. I like that the superbtightled offering is a true 360 degree light emitting bulb.
What I did 10 years ago was I bought set of Eagle Eyes off e-bay, and it was bidding war, right to the end, and my bid was the highest at $199.00, which I thought was high at the time, cause later saw them less than my price, with BUY NOW.
Today there threw roof in price!

If you don’t wish to go through all of that wiring, SHARPLIGHTINNOVATIONS makes a plug and play harness that mounts behind the RR tailight. Five minute installation. No hyperflash.

Sitting behind one of these cars with super brite led stop taillights at night at stop sign or stop and go traffic is a major PIA. It is awful, ruins your night vision and hurts eyes. What is with that super brite lights everyone? Go stand behind yours in a dark night and tell me how long can you heck it. If someone will smack you behind, they will because they are looking at their cell phone on their laps. Not outside.
