Default Header fitment issues

Guys I can’t not get my long tube header back in on the passenger side. I even have the ground and wires removed and starter removed. It was there before(not installed by me). Why can’t I get in back in? Any tips or advice would be great. LG Motorsports Super pro long tube headers.

tried again today and nothing. I don’t know what’s going on. They came out without the cradle drop, I figured they would go back in with no problem. Thank you

I went through the same issue installing LG headers on my friend 2010 GS. I will not install LG headers for no one else.

You may be able to get a little more room by unbolting the passenger side motor mount and then use a 2x4 or 2x6 piece of wood to jack up the engine on the oil pan. It will tilt the engine toward the driver's side and should give you a little more room. You will to go slow and be very gentle obviously.

And if you want even more room, you can loosen the four engine cradle bolts and put a 1/4 inch or slightly bigger piece of wood between the frame and the cradle. Again you would want the engine to be supported by a 2x6 on your jack. Just loosen the nuts until they are even with the threads on the bottom of the bolts.

And if you were able to get the header out, it will go back in. Just keep trying different angles. You will get it. Takes patience.

I had this problem before and until I found just the right angle to put the header in.

thank you for this tip. I will try and work with it. I really didn’t want to drop the cradle at all. And that’s what pisses me off the most. I pulled these out with out lifting the cradle and it came out. Thank you

If it isn’t budging from any direction you are going to have to lower the engine cradle. It’s easy it’s just tedious.

That's odd. My LG headers went in without any issue a few weeks ago.

good job buddy. They don’t make headers all the same. If he can’t get them in he needs to remove the cradle. That’s how it be sometimes

Time to get a set of Kooks and sell the LG headers. Expensive, yes. But you won't have problems like this. Sorry.

It would seem if they came out without much cussing, they would go back in the same way. Gravity probably helped some, but maybe you need to find just the right angles (and cuss words!!) so it'll go back. I know my Kooks 1-7/8" install from the bottom. But they're a close fit, I'll tell ya!

Just fyi my headers are in now. No problems here lol. I think the post is getting attention because another member was having issues lol. Cursing and drinking was definitely involved though!

i had the same issue with ARH 1 7/8 headers.. tons of swearing cussing.. wanted to punch the fridge in the garage but after all that I found the correct angle.. I can’t say they slid right in.. but with a little muscle and growling.. i felt like a moron.. the hilarity of the show I must have put on for hours and hours.. only to realize **** it a tiny bit this way and finangle a hair that way and like a glove!! 😂🤣😂🤣

im sure there are people who have smaller tube headers and slide right in without issues.. but I wouldn’t put all the blame on a certain brand name!just My $.02

have a great day
