Default Reverse lockout button too stiff

Hi
I have a 09 C6automatic that my wife can't drive because she can't depress the lockout button on the shifter! Does anyone know if that can be modified to allow less pressure to get it out of park. I haven't asked the dealer yet and will after I get some feedback. Thanks for you input. Dan

Try this.....when shutting down, keep trans in "D".....engage parking brake fully.....shift to "P" & shut down engine. Doing so will minimize the force on the parking pawl in the trans & may make it easier for her to disengage the lockout button.
