Help Bose Audio replacement
Bought the car with Bose in it, knew they were going to be an issue going in, they sounded like **** since day 1. Looking to gut the entire audio system and upgrade to something better. That being said here is my list:
Rocksford Fosgate R165-S Lower doors
Kicker 47KSC2704 Upper doors
Rocksford Fosgate R1525X2 B post speakers
Kicker 43DSC3504 Center dash
JVC KW-M560BT Head unit
Rockford Fosgate R2-750X5 Amp
I know i'll need some wiring harnesses for the steering wheel controls to still work, aside from that and a wiring kit for the amp anything else? Any suggestions?
You will need a PAC RP5-GM11 interface to connect to the car's wiring for steering wheel controls and RAP. It will also keep OnStar functioning if you use it.
I would suggest that for the speakers you use all of the same brand and series. Going with different brands can cause some issues with adjusting the tone of the system.
Don't forget the backup camera and front cam if the head unit will support both.

And I agee with ditching the dash speaker. Are you sticking with the factory amp?

I went to the local best buy twice and both times they told me to walk over to their shop and talk to the installer, and both times they referred me to another local audio shop. So I know then and there it must be a pain in the ***, and they don't want to do it. So i checked out the shop they recommended they had great reviews and they seem to be very busy. They have me set up with:
Kenwood Head Unit Sirius ready with android auto apple car play nav and cam capable
Steering wheel controls adapter
Focal component speakers and tweeters all around and cross overs
Front cam
Rear cam
New Sirius brains
10" Kicker sub
Kicker or Rocksford Fossgate amp
