Default Need help figuring out what this does lol

So I bought a 2007 Base model from a dealership, and they didn’t know what a switch did that was wired in pretty crappily; so I took the dash apart and traced out where they go. They run to some kind of booster or something off of the brake reservoir, but I’m not really sure what it is or why it’s wired up there... any ideas?

Do all the brakes work with the switch on and off?

It looks like a line lock to me as well.

Yep, line lock. I have that same solenoid on of of my cars. Looks the former owner either enjoyed burnouts or drag racing or both.
That's a common mod for a stick shift car.

Hope the guy you bought the C6 from with the Line Lock in it didn't advertise it as:

Never Ever Raced

Only Driven to Church and Back

Pampered

Good lord, look at the quality of that wiring job. If I were you, I'd remove that terrible job and at least replace it with better wire ( use black insulation so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb).

It is a hydraulic brake lock anti theft device. With it activated, the car won't roll. Then again, it could also be a line lock.

Perhaps it was advertised as only driven occasionally on short Sunday drives?
