Default Thinking of adding headers. Already have x-pipe back

I have an ‘07 M6 base coupe that I bought last year. One happy season on it.
The main reason I bought this car over others was the previous owner installed a set of Magnaflow mufflers and from what I can see from looking under the chassis, is that there is an accompanying x-pipe also. Lots of shiny piping under there haha. $$$.
Ive read a lot of posts here and dollar-wise I think I might try a set of Speed Engineering headers.
I sent them off a question but to get an honest unbiased opinion, will they be somewhat of a straightforward bolt in to a Magnaflow X-pipe?
I know also probably one longer 02 extension, better clamps, new header bolts, gaskets and perhaps different angled plug wires.

The x-pipe won't fit the headers.May as well get the SE x-pipe with the headers and save yourself a headache.Probably be able to sell the one you have to help pay for the headers.

I’m running the SE header and X pipe setup with no issues. Save yourself some money go with old OEM gaskets and bolts, spend your money on 31” 02 extensions and your all set.

I gather you have their own SE x-pipe?

Check out billy boat long tube headers, I am in similar situation. I just bought a c6 that already had an x pipe and mufflers. The billy boat will mount right up to them like stock, but if you want cats you'll have to put them on your x-pipe unless you get shorty headers (I wouldn't)

Thanks for the recommendations.
I looked up Billy headers and it’s a good thing I was sitting down haha.
I’m up in Canada where shipping is horrible, our dollar is very weak when we buy anything from the U.S. and tax is high. So short story, I would be on the hook for over $1800 est for a mod that would not be worth that much to me or my wallet.
That is the reason I picked Speed Engineering out of my hat is because of the reasonable price point.
Thanks again STLZ!
