Default Harmonic Dampner part #'s

2009 LS3 Base
Im not having issues but Im changing cams and figured id replace the dampner and pin it while there.

Summit has a balancer

Summit Racing SUM-C2501 - Summit Racing® Bracket Racer SFI Harmonic Dampers

However when you look @ info it EXCLUDES 2009 and up. this baffled me because ATI has one that fits C5- C6 LS1-2-3 same part
So I called Summit and the guy was also baffled. he thinks it could be an erroneous entry in their database listing
which brings me to my question.
IS anyone with a 2009 and UP LS3 running the summit brand aftermarket balancer? and what was the part number?
I'm fine with suggestions for other balancers but I am specifically trying to find a way to run the summit part. I know many are going to say .. Inovators west part # xxxxxxx zero probelms 10 years.
I get that ATI and powerbond etc make good units.
thanks in advance!

. Also available at Rock Auto a bit cheaper. Note. The picture of the balancer on their website has not been updated as to what you will receive. I just completed mine.

I am not running a Summit balancer but an ATI - if it helps at all, their posting is probably just an anomaly -

Wet Sump - LS1/2/6/3 all take the same balancer stock diameter, underdrive, overdrive, or otherwise - balancer bolt is the shorter of the two stock or ARP

Dry Sump - LS3/7 take the same balancer stock diameter, underdrive, overdrive, or otherwise - balancer bolt is the longer of the two stock or ARP

Thanks,Matt

So I bought a Summit C2501 harmonic balancer from a friend with an LS2 wet sump. New in box. It is written that the LS2 and LS3 balancers are interchangeable. However, now I'm finding out that balancers are different for Dry Sump systems. My 2011 Grand Sport is a 6 speed with a dry sump. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hate to tear it apart only to find out it wont fit.

That's correct - if you have a "Dry Sump" LS3 then a "Wet Sump" LS1/2/3/6 balancer will not work on your engine -

You must either use an LS3 or LS7 "Dry Sump" balancer and balancer bolt - you cannot put a square peg in a round hole as an example!

Thanks,Matt
