I thinks thats it.

Are you going to add boost in the future?

If so then yeah they would be a good idea. Not sure what power you want to make but they are good heads. Even stock ported LS3 heads can make 1000 easy. Also PRC and Trickflow 255s are good options

If you are going to boost it, save your $$ and just get a pair of LS3 (821) heads. It won’t make as much difference under boost

I have a set of the darts LS3's on a 427 in my 02 Camaro. They are good heads with better exhaust ports than most ported heads. In unported form I believe they are the best as cast heads out there.

AFR LS3 Heads @ 260 CC VS Darts 280 CC outflow them on Intake & Exhaust and out of
the box will out perform, Especially on a smaller engine due to Higher Velo!

yeah i have looked at various aftermarket, stock style ported heads and the stats on them. It seems like the Dart Ls3 heads seem to outflow all heads out of the box. I am planning to purchase them and have them ported as well. I believe the cfm would be over 400.

Let me try again
AFR 12* Valve Angle 260 CC Intake Port Flows 366 cfm @ ,600" 377 @ .650" , 384 @ .700" Intake (248/251/255 Ex)
Dart Pro Ls3 15* Valve angle, 280 CC Intake port flow 370 cfm intake/252 Exhaust @ .800"!!!

Out of the box by EVERY MEASURE the AFR LS3 Is the SUPERIOR Head!

Not saying the Dart heads are bad, just stating Facts.

I'm no expert, but after reading an article on aftermarket heads and also given C6 ZO6 valve problems, I would never install aftermarket heads directly on an engine without first having the valves and valve guides checked by a reputable builder! It's quite common for the valves to not properly fit, to have nonconcentric fitting valves (valves not being centered in the valve seat openings) and excessive valve guide tolerances. I spoke personally with a very reputable engine builder on this forum and he confirmed the concerns I mentioned. Buyer beware!

Don't forget, Dart wet flows their heads. Most others dry flow theirs.
Also there is more to a heads power potential that flow rates.
Unless something has changed, when I had access to a flow bench, AFR heads did not flow near their stated cfm. This may have changed as that was years ago.
From my experience, I trust 2 cylinder head manufacturers flow numbers. Brodix and Dart.
