I have a 2009 6m Z51 npp that in the spring will be adding a Z06 exhaust with cats. What would be a good cam to compliment the Z06 exhaust with drivability in mind not all out horsepower? Should I consider any other upgrades before I get a tune?

most likely everybody will tell you a stage 1 any brand
Texas Speed Stage 1 or 2. A lot depends on what you want to do with your car. Stage 1 will give you better low to mid HP, where Stage 2 will be more upper range HP. Talk to tech at Texas Speed. They are a big help.
Dual springs suggested. Also Comp Cams Trunnion upgrade. Maybe LS7 performance lifters depending on what your cam lobes look like when you take it out.
More power costs money.

$700 for a cam kit (cam, pushrods, springs)
around $1000 labor
$500-600 for a tune
$300 for rocker arm trunions upgrade/labor
Will need supplys -oil/gaskets etc.
Should change the harmonic balancer at the same time. Decent balancers run from around $300-500
My car has 19,000 miles on it. What would I be looking at as far as cost to upgrade to new cam and supporting mods?
. To do it right probably between 3 and 5 K depending what you do and what it needs to be done correctly. If you are not a good wrencher on an LS you will need some specialty tools.
Not sure if I want to spend that kind of money on a car i drive 1500 miles a year. What kind of hp and tq increase would I be looking at if I decided to go this route?

I wanted the same setup as you and went with the BTR Stage 2 system. It's been absolutely perfect for me. The sound is aggressive without being too over the top and I didn't lose any driveability. The noticeable power gain but a nice bonus and I still get 26mpg on the highway with my cruise set at 85mph. While you're in there, you might as well upgrade your harmonic balancer if you haven't already. It's a weak area in these cars and will probably go out eventually. A new balancer doesn't require any more labor because the same parts have to come out to do the cam swap, so it's the perfect time to do it.
A cam swap with all the supporting hardware is not a cheap project. The labor is pretty intensive because some suspension components and the steering rack have to come loose to access the front of the motor. But I'm very glad I did mine. It sounds great and makes the whole car feel more alive.

you know its gonna sound a bit crazy but what about a custom ground Cam Motions LLSR but with a higher more street friendly LCA
Why would you want to put a solid roller cam in a street car?
I'd look for a cam with low overlap as overlap is directly tied to streetability. I'm running a 226/234 115+4. O overlap and perfect manners. Pulls really good on bottom and top end.
Better yet, Get Pat G's take on things. He doesn't miss.
