LS2 Oil Pressure Sensor?

Oil Pressure Gauge (cycles normally on startup) registers 0, DIC registers XXX Oil Pressure. Oil level is full, oil temp normal, no idiot light, so I'm 99.9% sure oil pressure is good.

I'm guessing the problem is the sending unit. Where would I find it?

Between the back of the intake manifold and the firewall, on the back edge of the valley cover, driver's side.

I had the same experience with my LS2, so when got my stimulus check, it was time to replace it.

I took it my local Stealership and had it replaced and the oil change.

NOT CHEAP!

Replaced mine about 10 years ago. Took my time and from start to finish it was about 2 hours. Hardest part was getting the sensor out since it sits close to the firewall but not hard at all.

I have seen a work around for easier access to the oil pressure sending unit. It involves taking off the wiper cowl and cutting plastic directly above sender. Not that I would do that its just an option.
