Rear diff help?

Rear diff help?

Well I went out & bought a used diff for my 2005 c6 a4 guy said it was a 3.42 but how can I tell only tag is in pic any help please.

I searched and this is what you purchased:

2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6 #1030 Manual 6 Speed LSD Differential 3.42 12568514

Unfortunately, it looks like the Diff fits the manual and not the automatic transmission. Are you having a problem installing or noticed a difference between them?

Hopefully, you can exchange or return for replacement.

Apparently not, I did find a 3.15 ratio for an A4 the last digit was a "5" or a "6". But I am no expert on this subject, this was the information I turned up during browser searches. I am sure that some of the more technical forum members will chime in to confirm or deny what I have found.

Thank you for looking at least I didn't get lied to about the ratio. I got the complete rear carrier for $650 axles, brakes, suspension....

However, you might call these and get their input, before you send back your 3.42 rear: you will definitely get the answer that you need and if you may need anything additional for the install or something entirely different
