Grease for Hurst Billet/Plus Shifter?

Grease for Hurst Billet/Plus Shifter?
Hello Everyone,
I just picked up a Hurst shifter and in the instructions it says to grease the ball end of the shifter stick that goes into the plastic cup, but I was wondering if there was a specific grease that would last the longest and prevent the most noise? Would normal automotive bushing grease do the trick?
