Default need some axleback sound help

Hi boys and girls. I need some help.
I went to my first autox event in my C6 today, they stopped me from running after 2 runs because the car was too loud. The car has long tubes and a Billy Boat PRT exhaust. I have a few different options that I am looking for opinions on.
1. buy some turndowns, use them at events, they might be enough or they might not be
2. attach some steel wool on the muffler exits, will probably help a bit, can be used together with turndows
3. get a different axleback, this is where I need help. From experience here does anyone know what are some of the quieter exhausts, Borla Touring, any others?
Thanks

The fact that you have longtubes is really going to hurt your chances of finding something that WON'T be too loud. I would just buy a set of NPP mufflers and use them during the events, that's probably your safest bet to not run into the same problem again.

Yep, that's the ticket. Just run the NPP's closed. I've had all three versions of the GM bi mode mufflers and they're all loud as hell opened up with long tubes. Nice and quiet if you can keep them closed. Corsa Sports are also loud under full throttle with long tubes. Cats will help a bit if you don't have them now. Hard to believe that, at an event like that, every car in the field isn't at least a little bit loud.

I picked up an OEM axle back, will try to get it put on in a week. I'll report back afterwards.

Agree with Old Motorhead; Long Tubes with Corsa Sports will be loud.... above 3000 RPM anyways.... I have that combo and its civilized below 2500 RPM but when you're on the throttle (above approx. 3000 RPM) it REALLY comes alive and it has a nice scream to it... that's what nice about Corsa Sports, quiet at cruise, sounds like a race car when you hammer it !!!!
