Too high oil pressure
Hi all,
I'm from Germany and have a 2007 C6 Z06. Does anyone know what could be the reason for a too high oil pressure? At 6500rpm (176°F) I got an oil pressure of 138 PSI. I already checked the sensor by measuring the pressure with an external gauge at the oil filter. So what I know till now is that the oil pump should have a pressure relief valve. But at what pressure opens this valve? Has someone experience with a stucking pressure relief valve?
As the oil is already leaking at the oil filter I'm afraid to ignore the high pressure and risk a burst of the oil filter.
