Default Rear leaf Spring

Good morning all, So I am new to this corvette deal and have alot to learn about this vehicle. Last Sept, I purchased a one owner 08 with only 8500 miles on it. It came with the LS3, Z51, and 3LT package. It is black with the black/platinum interior. Just getting out of drag racing i wanted something fun for the streets. The only thing I have changed so far was a Corsa cat back with the 4" tips. So now is the question on the rear leaf spring. I jack up the back of the car with a small 2x6 block and jack. Apparently I caught the cradle and leaf spring. It looks like I put a small arch in the spring. It is not up againt the transmission fins but will it flex up or did I change the geometry of anything. That is goint to be the first of many things I will eventually hit up on the forums. Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum, and congratulations on your C6!
I would suggest asking this question in the C6 Tech section at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...rformance-101/
Probably not an issue but let the C6 experts answer this for you.

Hard to reply based on a word description. Best if you can post some pics...with load on the suspension & without.

If you used a 2 x 6 and caught the cradle and spring, I bet you are probably fine. The spring has a built in arch to it. If the spring was compromised it would crack and that would be pretty noticeable.

Ok, I think i got it figured out. The car was up on jack stand under the cradle so the wheels were allowed to drop. So i figured that was causing the arch. I'll drop it back down on the ramps and check. These cars are hell to get up under. Any recommendations besides a lift??
