I bought new C6Z front shock replacements. Part #10313647. and the bottom mounting bracket flange is flat and not on an angle like the old one shown in the picture below. Is there something wrong with the shock? is there a different way to install it? Any help would be nice. Thanks

the bottom of the shock has to articulate at its connection point to the lower control arm....
