Default 2005 light flash

Finally sold myfinally completed 71, picked up a 2005 loaded magnetic red with 57,000. Here is the provblem, parking and tail lights randomly flash as car is sitting in garage. No set time for flash totaly random. When I fist got car horn would not work. Replaced horn mico relay, good now. This light ting one got me stumped. never had these kinds of issue with my 71. Killing battery if it was not for battery tender, which by the way never goes green so far. Any ideas?

I have a '05 Magnetic red 57K miles! I've had similar problems two times. Once it was the battery that would not charge over 12.4 volts, a new battery solved the problem.

Another time was when I put a 2012 steering wheel in my 05. The horn would not work occasionally and sometimes I'd close the door and the theft alarm would turn on and I'd have to honk the horn to turn off the alarm. The previous idiot (me) had wired it in backwards.

Anything from bad grounds, to wiring, to a low battery can cause strange problems with C6 corvettes. Also if it is a manual (as mine is) be sure to leave it in reverse when turning off the car or you'll have a low battery. Also, you might check if you have any OBDII codes set.

So check the battery, check the grounds, and especially if you have the telescoping steering column check the wires and connections and the funky steering column lock ribbon cable. If you don't have the unique 05 steering wheel my guess is there's your problem.

Is the fob in your pocket? You could be putting pressure on the buttons inadvertently causing the doors to lock.
