Trans Tunnel Insulation Issue

Hey guys. I was under my car over the weekend and noticed my DEI trans tunnel insulation has separated from its self. Basically the aluminum has separated from the actual insulation. I am sure someone else has had this happen. My first thought was to add a little high temp silicone to it and push it back in place. I also thought of adding a few washers to the end bolts. I am trying not to take my exhaust apart to take the trans tunnel plate out. Any thoughts from the group? I appreciate it.

My DEI did the same thing. It's garbage.

To make sure it doesn't move, you really need to replace the insulation with one that is held in place with the tunnel plate bolts.

Or you could upgrade to an Elite Engineering insulated tunnel plate.
