X pipe weld in section for Z06 ??

X pipe weld in section for Z06 ??
Can't justify spending over $400 for corsa X pipe when can just get x pipe insert have Muff shop cut out H section weld in X pipe section for a 1/4 of the price .
Just can not seem to find the correct size x pipe section to buy ?
Has anyone done this / where to buy ?

Have the muffler shop get it, stock size for base is 2 1/2". I brought my C4 to a local muffler shop a few years ago and told them what I wanted. They had no problem getting the parts.

Have you found one that has the same center to center dimensions as Z06 exhaust?
